MENTOS-GATE!! (how a packet of mentos cost me $1200)

HOW A PACKET OF MENTOS COST ME $1200

Last friday, woke up with a snuffle. By friday avo was feeling rubbish and decided to take the weekend off. 

Sat am comes and im feelin DECIDEDLY average and like my tounge had been grazed. Looked at it and there was tiny white dots there. Freaking out like a crazy one, and decided i'd ring and get booked in for all my work health tests done. blood, urine, throat and tounge swabs ( of the tounge spots)

So called 13SICK just after 12, They said it was 134 min wait for the dr to call  which was fine, mentally planning go get the pathology done sat avo so it would be there monday/tuesday.

134 mins....apparently equivilates to TEN HOURS in 13SICK time, and

Ieverything was closed sunday. ​Dr thinks it just looks like  it's from being run down, the head cold, or thrush but agrees we should check it anyway.

In the meantime, i cant work, because i refuse to possibly make someone else sick, and get to the pathology place monday am. 

The lovely vampire lady there pre- warns me it may  or may not take a bit longer than usual as they have to grow the cultures ect.

So i go home and sit, and i wait. and i make cards (which y'all can buy for $5 each btw)

and wait.

and wait.

The fear was REAL!!

-  the spots were gone on Wednesday

The results came in on thursday avo.. all clear.

BUT..it was the most stressful week everrrrr. Not to mention i stopped counting the $ value of the bookings at $1200 because it was superrrrr depressing.

THE CRUISE TIPS TIN HAD TO BE RAIDED 😭😭😭😭😭

Half an hour before the results came thru, i discovered what the white spots were. Cheers Google! 🤣

= fucking MENTOS!!!!

(because of the acidic nature of the ingredients... and i'd been on a mentos buzz for about a week before it. )

So now, we stick to chocolate, and lollies that DONT cost us 1.2k and no more mentos again EVER.
